Students will be bringing home a blue folder on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. There is never homework on Friday unless homework was not completed during the week. Work that is in the left side of the folder is to be completed and returned to school. Work on the right side of the folder is graded and does not need to be returned. We will be doing lots of work using reading strategies that support fluency and comprehension skills. Check our "Links" pages for sites that support reading and spelling.
This year students will be in Mr. Caudell's class and receive support there as well as additional support in the Learning Center during the last part of the class period. A great addition to our new math curriculum is that all of our students have an Everyday Math student account. Please have them log into their accounts and check out the interactive activities that I add every week to provide extra support with new concepts we are studying. Also, please encourage your child to learn their multiplication facts. I have added a great site on the Links page (multiplication.com). In addition, students can practice on mobymax.com using the Fact Master tab on their dashboard. Lastly, please check out any of the fourth grade teacher websites for additional links to math sites.
